ENVIRONMENTAL

Foti is the leading manufacturer of fireworks and one of the most awarded fireworks display companies in Australia. Foti recognises its responsibility to design and manufacture products, conduct operations, and provide services in a manner that is responsible to the environment, protective of its natural resources and protective of its employee’s health and safety.

Since March, 2009 Foti has been offsetting the carbon emissions of all its business operations by purchasing carbon credits with the Carbon Reduction Institute. The certificate demonstrates that Foti has had its carbon emissions assessed and purchased sufficient credits in order to remain carbon neutral.

From the extensive experience of delivering fireworks displays and special effects productions, we have formalised our aspirations in an Environmental Policy. This policy aims to conduct operations and provide services in a manner that is responsible to the environment and reduce reliance on natural resources.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Our commitment to corporate social responsibility is also seen by our membership with the Carbon Reduction Institute. As part of this membership, an audit of our greenhouse gas emissions is completed to determine our carbon footprint from materials, transport, electricity used and waste.

Foti believes that engagement with the local community is extremely important in meeting the goals of our environmental policy. This leads to open and constructive relationships with the local community, other stakeholders, and government agencies.

Foti is committed to upholding human rights, fair working conditions and environmental protection. We are committed to working with suppliers to help improve their labour and environmental practices. This is formalised within our Ethical Sourcing Policy. This Policy sets of the standards that we expect our suppliers to comply with when providing products for use during our operations, regardless of location around the world. We acknowledge that full compliance with all our criteria may take time to be achieved. As a minimum the principles of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) will be met by all suppliers.
